What is Mergery?
Mergery is a powerfull dual Image manipulating software for use by anyone into graphics, video game development or for anyone who wants to combine and add effects to images.

How to use Mergery for Android:
I recomend that you use a stylus pen or instrument to use this app for ease of use and precise control.


Button layout:

Buttons: 
1. Load back
Loads a background, press to open the load bar, This brings up a button with 4 choices, set the right 2 buttons before clicking the ANI or NON ANI buttons.  
1. ANI- load an animated .png image. Mergery will divide the width by the height of the image 
to determine the number of sub-images. Use square sub-images for best results, or you can use rectangle
shapes to get even more effects! Or use the SET SUB IMG. #'S button to specify the number of 
sub images permitting the use of non square subimages in the image. 
2. NON ANI- Load a standard image - .jpg, .gif, .png
3. Full Image- loads non transparently, press to load the image with it's background transparent. 
4. SET SUB IMG. #'S- This button allows you to manually specify how many sub images are in the image you want to load. In this way you can correctly load animated images with non-square sub images.
Choose a picture to load. Must be a .gif, .jpg or .png graphics file, animated .png strips are also exceptable.After the image loads press anywhere on the image selected to drag the image around. 
Note: you can now position the opposit image in sketch mode (effect 7) by using the arrow keys to 
move it around. Also you can set and adjust the scaling size of one or the other selected images to the
 canvas or other image, see settings (effect 11) or black and white to color mode, see BnW~Color (effect 8).
When dragging an image, it's X coordinates are displayed in the left menu select box and the Y 
coordinates are displayed in the right menu select box.

2. Load Fore
Loads a picture that can be placed on top of the background, press to open the load bar,  This brings up a button with 4 choices, set the right 2 buttons before clicking the ANI or NON ANI buttons.

black and white to color mode (effect 8). When dragging an image, it's X coordinates are displayed in the left menu select box and the Y coordinates are displayed in the right
menu select box.

3. Edit Back
Switches to edit the background picture. 

4. Edit Fore
Switches to edit the foreground picture. 


5. SAVE
Allows saving of your work and has several options, there are 3 choices, the default choice will save
both the background and the foreground as is on the canvas, press save again and only the 
background will be saved (if the foreground is placed on the background it will be saved together in the 
size of the background) press save again and only the foreground will be saved (if the background is 
placed under the foreground and the foreground alpha is less than 100% it will be saved together in
the size of the foreground) If using the 
Colorizer effect (Effect 8) press the ENTER button to save. If using the line draw effect the line image is 
saved automatically each time a new line is drawn according to how you have clicked the save button as described above.

6. Back ON
toggles the background visiblility on or off. If you long press the button it will instead swap which image 
appears on top of the other image. 
7. Effects Menu
There are 3 parts to this menu, the first segment shows a left arrow if you have chosen an effect and if clicked goes to the previous effect. The right arrow box advances through the effects, click the desired 
effect to adjust it. there are 8 effects and 4 menus. 
Effect 1- Blur
Press up or down arrow keys to adjust amount of blur. When using the Blur effect save your image 
before selecting another effect as changing effects will undo the blur effect, after saving you can load 
your saved image to apply more effects.
Effect 2- Stretch,  
This setting has 7 modes, 1st press adjusts total size, second press lets you adjust the width, 3rd press
 lets you adjust the height 4th - 7th press trapezoids the top side, right side, bottom side and left side respectively. press again to return to the effects menu. Use the up or down arrow keys to adjust the size 
of the image, press the left and right arrows to trapezoid part of the image. When using the Trapezoid 
settings save your image before selecting another effect as changing effects will undo the trapezoid effect, after saving you can load your saved image to apply more effects.
Effect 3- Alpha
Press up or down arrow keys to adjust the opacity of the image. 
Effect 4- rotate
Press left or right arrow keys to rotate the image. 
Effect 5- Greyscale
Press up or down arrows to toggle greyscale / color image. When using the Greyscale effect save your
image before selecting another effect as changing effects will undo the greyscale effect, after saving you
can load your saved image to apply more effects.
Effect 6- Hue Shift
Press up or down arrows to change the colors in the image. When using the Hue shift effect save your
image before selecting another effect as changing effects will undo the hue shift effect, after saving you 
can re load your saved image to apply more effects. This is especially true if you resize the image and 
want to use the partial trapezoid effect.
Effect 7- Sketch
Several options are available here, and this effect is used to draw boarders, skeletal lines, and outlines.
the pictures you save will only contain the lines you draw. The X & Y coordinates appear on the 
effects menu button and can be used to record your current lines coordinates.Use the arrow buttons 
to move the other image around. Press the SPACE button and a color chart appears, select a color from it or anywhere below the buttons on the canvase and press the ENTER button.
press and release anywhere on the canvas below the buttons to start the line, notice the first coordinates 
are set in the left parenthasis in the effects menu button, you can write them down if needed. Your line will now follow the pen until you again press and release on the image, your line will be saved according to how 
you have selected your save button (save all, save background or save foreground) your ending
 coordinates are displayed in the right parenthesis on the effects menu button to write down if you wish. Repeat this process as many times as you wish, all the lines drawn will be saved as one picture. To stop 
and start a new set of lines press the END button and repeat above steps. Your line draw picture will be saved to the GMstudio folder in your device's local storage area automatically each time a new line is drawn. 
Effect 8- BnW~Color,  Note: if you have a large image loaded and want to exit this effect long press the menuselect button. Usually images 200 x 200 pixels are rendered quickly, larger images take longer to render.
Here if you've loaded in a pencil drawing you can convert it to color. Mergery will cycle through the color pallet displayed in the effects menu, the effect chosen will color areas that are lightly shaded, medium 
shaded, and dark shaded as shown in the pallet icon. You can also trim the main (dark) color with the left and right arrow buttons, and when released will apply the effect. When finished rendering you can Press the ENTER button to save. If you don't switch to a different effect you can go back to the original picture by repeatedly pressing up or down to cycle back to the original image. If you select a different effect and come back to effect 8 again you can further color the picture which will add colors other than red, green and blue. 
Effect 9- Manual, Opens this manual. 
Effect 10- Credits, Displays the credits. 
Effect 11- Settings
here you can choose the color of the canvas background, and name your Save folder, and a special 
effect called Stamp, which when turned on, gives a multiple stamp effect when dragging a picture. use
left and right arrow keys for ON/OFF. 
Relitive scale, Here you can adjust the scale of one image against the other, or the whole canvas with 
the following options buttons-
1. The first button, 'Scale to canvas' / 'Scale to other pic' chooses which image currently selected will 
scale to either the other image, or to the canvas.
2. The second button, 'Scale rate' adjusts the rate of scale to height ratio of the other.
3. The third button, 'Max scale' adjusts the maximum amount of scale you allow. Default setting is 1.5 
4. The fourth button, 'Min scale' adjusts the minimum amount of scale you allow. Default is .3
5. And the fith button, ON / Off turns this feature On or Off.
Note: You can move the other image around with the arrow buttonsAlso, if you want to use the 
animated .png player to cycle through the other image's sub images you must click the edit fore or edit back button to use the player, then switch it back to draw. The reason for this is that the scaling of the 2 images will reverse.
Effect 12- Brings you to the Mergery hompage which includes this user's manual online. 

8. Animated .PNG Player
There are 6 features, and it only appears when you are editing a back or foreground that has an 
animated .PNG image loaded. The square button stops the animation, the solid right arrow button plays 
the animation, the segmented right arrow button lets you use the - and + buttons to change each slide in 
the animation. The - and + buttons also slow down and speed up the animation when the solid right 
arrow button is pressed. the window to the right displays the image speed, or the image number 
depending on which right arrow button is pressed on the animated png player. 
  A very effective use for this is making cut scenes in your game,  Making Skeletal animations, just save, move the character and advance his image index, save again, repeat to get all the pics you need to make something awesome,  or making scene animations for amv's or even a movie! with the combined special effects you can make amazing effects with Mergery

Mergery light version has all the effects the full version has, but in the light version disables saving any of
your work.



How to use Mergery for Windows:

Effect 1- Blur

Effect 3- Alpha

a new line is drawn in the Mergery folder, which can be easily found by typing %localappdata%\Mergery into the address bar in any open folder. to stop and start a new set of lines press the END key and repeat above steps. Secondly, if you click the Drawing button you can draw on the computer screen. This is 
useful for putting Mergery over another program's window and drawing on it. Adjust the size of the window to draw on in settings, One thing to note, your lines cannot be saved in screen draw mode but
you can screenshot them by pressing the Ctrl and PrtScr keys simultaniously and then paste the result
into your favorite paint program.
